Lubomír Říha is a research scientist at IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center.

Previously he was a research scientist in High Performance Computing Lab at The George Washington University, ECE Department. He has received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic in 2011 and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Bowie State University, USA.

His research interests are high performance computing, acceleration of scientific and engineering applications using multi- and many-core coprocessors such Intel Xeon Phi or GPUs, development of scalable parallel sparse linear solvers, signal and image processing.

Lubomír Říha is main expert on Xeon Phi at IT4I. He prepared and conducted training course on Xeon Phi organized by IT4I and he is leading technical work within team developing tool for image segmentation from bio-medical images.
